Alessandro
LOMBARDO

Alessandro Lombardo, Senior Executive Officer at the Secretariat of the Central European Initiative (CEI), holds a degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from the University of Trieste (2004). His professional activity has focused on multilateralism, regional cooperation and project management, with particular attention to Central, Eastern, and South-Eastern Europe.

Within the CEI, he serves as Co-Coordinator of the Project Management Office (PMO) and Focal Point for Research, Innovation, and Science Diplomacy, contributing to the CEI’s mission to support European integration, EU enlargement and sustainable development.

As of July 2025, he also serves as Co-Chair of the European Union Science Diplomacy Alliance (EUSDA).
