Chehineze Bouafia is the Head of Regulatory Affairs, Space & Telecommunications at Eutelsat Group. In addition to her responsibilities for telecoms regulation, she is also in charge of matters related to space law and policy, in particular compliance with the French space law. She also leads Eutelsat Group’s efforts regarding political and legal developments to address new space sustainability related developments such as constellations, space traffic management, in-orbit services, etc. She began her career as a lawyer at Alerion Law Firm supporting innovative businesses across the entire spectrum of commercial law. Before joining Eutelsat Group, Chehineze also worked at ESA, serving both the legal services department and managing the administration of ECSL, where she now sits as an honorary member.
