Martina Schubert is the Deputy Director of the Vienna School of International Studies/ Diplomatische Akademie Wien. Prior to her current role, Ms. Schubert was Deputy Head of Mission of Austria to NATO and has worked for many years in Brussels, i.a. as Chairperson of the EU Working Party for Transatlantic relations, as Member of Cabinet in the Cabinet of Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs in the European Commission and as Presidency Coordinator of the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2018. Martina Schubert has also gained experience in the private sector as Senior Vice President Corporate Public Affairs of OMV.
