LUCA

Andrei Luca is the director for cultural and science diplomacy of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and, since 2023, the chair of the EU Network of Science Advisors and Science Diplomacy Coordinators in Ministries of Foreign Affairs. He has previously headed the MFA’s departments for diaspora and communication. As well, he has served as deputy to Romania’s ambassadors to Italy and Spain for more than a decade. Prior to his diplomatic career, he coordinated projects in the non-governmental sector aimed at strengthening Romania’s democracy and free-market economy.
