Mostafa is a research innovation and policy expert with 15 years of experience in academia, industry and nonprofit sectors across Austria, Belgium, and the Netherlands, exemplifying European Triple i-mobility. As Executive Director of the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA), he leads an 18+ person team in policy, career development and community building. He is a former Chair of the EU Science Diplomacy Alliance and the MCAA; also worked as an independent expert in the Mutual Learning Exercise on Knowledge Valorization and as researcher mobility expert on the “Knowledge Ecosystem in the new ERA” study. He is a management committee member of the COST Action on Science Diplomacy and a Working Group Co-Chair of CCA on career development for young researchers. He is currently the main representative for the ERA Actions on Research Assessment and Knowledge Valorisation; secondary representative for Research Career from the Stakeholder Group 4 of the ERA Forum.
