Casper Andersen is a Professor of the History of Ideas and Science at Aarhus University, Denmark, and Theme Leader for Science Diplomacy at the Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies. His research focuses on the history of science and technology in global contexts. He has published extensively on science and culture in UNESCO, on science and heritage diplomacy, and on the history and politics of nuclear weapons. In addition, he is currently investigating issues related to dual use in the context of science diplomacy. His outreach activities include more than 100 public lectures, exhibitions, and regular media appearances. He is Chairperson of the Danish Society for the History of Technology (2021–), a member of the Learned Society at Aarhus University (2023–) and was elected to The Young Academy of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters (2015–2020).
