Post-Doc Researcher at the University of Padoa (Italy), Department of Comparative Biomedicine and Food Science (BCA), Cetaceans Strandings Emergency Response Team (CERT)

Elyne Dugény holds a doctorate in marine ecology mainly studying biotic interactions to understand how they influence ecological processes. She works at the scale of the holobiont, integrating a host organism with its diverse and complex microbial symbiotic community. Such approach implies to have a holistic view to understand microbial dynamic and the microbiota relation with the host integrity to understand the functioning of our environment and to apply the One Health and Eco Health concepts for conceiving a sustainable future. In parallel of her eesearch activities, she gives lectures, mostly on microbial ecology. She also is involved in the All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance as the French Atlantic youth ambassador to put ocean issues at the center of societal preoccupation.
