Nebojsa Nakicenovic is Vice Chair of the Group of Chief Scientific Advisors to the European Commission, Distinguished Emeritus and Honorary Scholar, and former Deputy Director General and Acting Director General at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analyses (IIASA) as well as former tenured Professor of Energy Economics at Vienna Technology University.
Other positions include Director of The World In 2050, Fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science, the International Science Council, the Luohan Academy; Member of the Academia Europaea, the Montenegrin Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Earth League. He serves on Editorial Boards of ten peer-reviewed scientific journals.
