Science for Policy Director at the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology
Izaskun Lacunza is a science policy practitioner currently holding the Science for Policy Direction at the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology. She is focused on bringing science beyond the frontiers of academia. She coordinated the science advisers’ network at strategic Embassies of Spain and she was one of the partners of the S4D4C project, mainly focusing on developing different formats for capacity building in science diplomacy. Currently, she is co-chair of the EU Science Diplomacy Alliance.
She is one of the coordinators of the Science and Technology Office at the Congress of Deputies in Spain, which connects science with Members of Parliament for better informed policy-making.
