Maria Jarquin works at the intersection of science and diplomacy. She is an special advisor to the International Science Council (ISC) and International Relations Coordinator at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH). Previously, she worked as a consultant for UNESCO and led the international strategy of the University of Costa Rica. She is a TEDx speaker and has been a panellist in science policy international events such as the United Nations SDG Summit 2023. She has a Master in Science, Technology and Public Policy from University College London (UCL) as UK Foreign Office Chevening scholar.
