Alma Hernández Mondragón is a chemist turned Science-Policy Interface Practitioner leading science advising efforts in Mexico. She has designed and coordinated the first program of Science-Policy Interface fellows in the Latin American region. She is also the founder of the Mexican Association for the Advancement of Science, member of the Global Young Academy, co-founder of the Chapter México for OWSD, and co-coordinated the creation of the Mexican Young Academy. She is currently a guest professor at the Center for Research and Advanced Studies (CINVESTAV) where she designed and continuously teaches an elective subject on the science-policy interface, science advice, and science diplomacy to postgraduate students.
