ARÉVALO NIETO
General Director for Research Planning, Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation
Gonzalo Arévalo Nieto is the General Director for Research Planning in the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation since September 2021. He has been working in the field of research management since 2003, occupying different positions of responsibility, especially in relation to the internationalisation of R&D&I, including 14 years at the Carlos III Spanish National Health Institute in different positions in the international area, including Head of the EU projects Office (2013-18) and Deputy General Director for International Programmes and Institutional Relations (2018-2021).
He holds a PhD Degree in Decision Engineering, a Master on Health R&I Management, and a Degree in Economics and Business Sciences.
